Stop Sharing Profile

If I share my profile name/Contact info and photo with someone, can they see if I update it and change it? I want to share incorrect information, but not update when I change to correct info.

Disconnecting an account with a family member I was airdropping pictures and my iPad said I would appear as mum and when i was updating my contacts whenever i changed either mine or my mums contact (picture or name) it would change both of our contact profiles. I think we have a shared account but I don’t know how to change it or what’s even happening

Share contact info needs to limit what is shared The “me” contact that Apple recognizes as who I am includes a lot of info that I don’t want to share when I share contact. How do I make a “share contact” that only includes whatever name and contact information that I want to share? I just edited my contact photo and poster and edited the name to only my first name. But when I look at the rest of the contact info it appears that my emails would be included, my address, my medical, my notes … all things I do NOT want to share.

Apple ID My family has shared an Apple ID for a while. We have been getting each others texts, FaceTimes, calls etc. We are looking to make superset ones because this is quite annoying. Will it erase all my photos and contacts if I create a new Apple ID?

The four contact sharing protocols are one way once-only methods, so no they cannot tell you are potentially defrauding them.
