tv app not importing files

What is often the cause of TV app in Ventura not importing files you drag and drop?


so say you pick up 10 files and it only imports 5


Why is that?


No errors anywhere.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.2

No that doesn't work. It looks like my issue relates to the idea that if you have a title with a show A and you have a file with the same title but for show B it will think that it's duplicate and not import it.


However, if you rename the file temporarily and then import it you can then rename it and it will coexist with a different show with the same name.

Hey there Robert,


If drag and drop is not importing files as expected, try importing through the TV app settings using the guidance below:


1. In the Apple TV app  on your Mac, choose File > Import.
2. Locate a file or folder, then click Open.
3. If you add a folder, all the files it contains are added to your library.
