Keychain Access Guide
can anyone recommend guidance to Keychain Access that actually explains the categories and all the bizarrely named items that appear from nowhere?

Yes, but my problem is complicated. I bought a MacBook Pro after the screen on my 7-year old MBP went bad. We made a backup of the old MBP and transferred it to the new one. It appears that the passwords (Keys) did not transfer to the Keychain Access App on the new machine. The only solution, according to the store "genius" is to change the passwords to websites one-by-one. I'm looking for a faster, easier way to transfer my PWs from the old machine to the new.
