Why does FCP not have the option to center the anchor point of a cropped clip? Every other video editor has this simple feature.

I do a lot of work with cropped clips that I manually have to resize and center on the screen. The problem is when the video moves from one clip to the next it'll be slightly shifted off because the two clips don't have the same crop values.

Example: https://imgur.com/a/10pJbqL (it's a gif so it might not work)

The solution to this problem is to center the anchor points of the cropped clips, then all I have to do is set the anchor X and Y values the same and they'll perfectly overlap. FCP doesn't let you do this however. I spend so much time going back and forth between frames trying to make two cropped clips overlap perfectly so it doesn't look like two separate rectangular videos shifted slightly off one another but it wastes so much time. It boggles my mind. After Effects does this simply with Cmd+double click.

Does anybody know how to set the anchor point in the center of cropped clip that doesn't rely on eyeballing?

From your description it sounds like this might be along the lines of what you want to do:

No matter how you crop the clip, the contents are always centered. It allows for the clip to be automatically resized to fit (X or Y) based on the dimensions of the crop.

I couldn't really tell from the gif, so if I missed the point: ... never mind!
