installing indesign CS6 on a 2018 Mac

I get "install" needs to be updated when I try but I'm having no luck - anybody know how I do it? (not very clued up on these things...apologies if it seems dumb)

Upgrading early 2008 iMac? I recently obtained an early 2008 iMac and the discs that came with it downloaded Mac OS version 10.5.8 onto it. I've been trying to find ways to upgrade the OS (I know it can't handle the most modern Mac OS but I'm just trying to upgrade it to the most recent version it can take which appears to be El Capitan) but the problem is that I can't seem to actually get it online. Safari won't load apple.com so I can't update anything through that, and trying to download Chrome (I clicked on the Google Maps bookmark which worked but that redirected me to download the newest version of Chrome) doesn't do anything. I was able to get El Capitan onto a thumb drive and my Mac reads the actual thumb drive, but can't open the update package. Looking on Apple's website tells me that in order to upgrade to El Capitan, I need to have OS version 10.6.8 or higher. Kind of stuck right now!

MacOS Big Sur - Software Update Good Day Everyone, I hope all is going well. I require a bit of guidance regarding an issue we're facing with one of our old iMacs at the school. The iMac is currently running macOS Big Sur version 11.7.10. We have encountered a problem where the Pages app requires iOS 13 or later to download or update, which means that not all features will work on our current setup. I have three questions: What is the latest software version to which macOS Big Sur can be updated? Is there an alternative method to download Pages on the iMac without needing to update to iOS 13 or later? 3.If the operating system is no longer supported, should we consider scrapping the old iMac and opting for a new iMac? Hi there!

Adobe CS6 uses some 32-bit components that won't run on macOS Catalina or later.

32-bit app compatibility with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 and later - Apple Support

What version of macOS are you using? You may need to use an older version of macOS to run the software.

That's macOS Catalina, it was released in 2019.

Can you also confirm the year of your iMac? There wasn't a model released in 2018, so it's most likely a 2017.
