Hi Joe Rosa,

We can see how it might be frustrating when you're not able to use your iPhone as expected, and it would be our pleasure to assist.

It sounds like you're experiencing intermittent sensitivity to touch on your iPhone. If you are, Apple suggests a few troubleshooting steps that may help in one of their support articles:

1. Restart your iPhone or iPad.
2. Make sure that your screen is clean and free of any debris or water.
3. Disconnect any Lightning or USB-C accessories. If your screen works after removing an accessory, try using a different outlet, cable, or charger.
4. Remove any cases or screen protectors.

Still not working? Tell us more. We want to make sure we're offering the best advice.

  • Does it happen with a specific app, location, or screen? (e.g. Lock Screen, Home Screen, etc.)
  • Did any of the steps above help?
  • What is the iOS version currently installed? You'll find this at Settings > General > About > Version.

Thank you for being part of the Apple Support Communities.

Cheers!
