Swipe up touch not working on iPhone X after updating to iOS 16.7.12

My device is iPhone X it has an issue with the swipe up touch that is not working and apple released the latest update for iPhone x and i updated my device, the swipe up touch was fixed , but since a weeks the swipe up touch is not working again , and it go from app to another like having a glitch , does any one know how to fix this ?? Thanks

I also have an iPhone X and have not had the issue before or after the iOS 16.7.12 update. I suspect there is something else going on with your device. The 2 most common reasons would be:

Battery Health - Check at Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging > Maximum Capacity. If it is below 80%, it is time for a replacement.
Failing Digitizer - This is built into the screen and fixed with a screen replacement. Usually the Digitizer will fail with any sort of crack in the screen, although it can still fail when the screen appears to be fine.

In either case, the best course of action is to schedule an appointment with Apple so they can perform diagnostics.

Does the swipe up function work anywhere, such as closing out of an app? If not, the screen digitizer likely has failed, which can happen with age, and would need to be replaced. It would be $279 out of warranty, which may be better spent towards a new iPhone.
