Icon on top left of screen

"Icon on top left of screen: Does anyone know what these bars mean above the time?I can only see a little tiny dot when normally using my phone and just thought it was a dead pixel until i tried to take a screen shot and thats when i saw the bars.Please help"

Cellular Signal:

Those bars represent the Cellular signal strength detected by your iPhone. So, all is fine.

Take a Screenshot:

Depending on your location, the indicators may be on the left, middle, or right of the top of you screen. It might be a feature of an app or accessibly. So, take screenshot, seeing if it pops up. If not, then it is likely a hardware issue, and you need to get the screen replaced. Go here: Take a Screenshot on your iPhone - Apple Support

Good Point. You are correct. The Signal strength symbol should appear to the top right.

This leads me to think that the Signal Strength indicator on the top left side may be part of the Wallpaper that you are using. Change the Wallpaper to check and see whether that symbol/icon goes away.

That is signal strength indicator / icon. As the cellular signal gets stronger, the bar count increases.
