That will NOT work at all. NOTE: The Apple Watch will also require you to have an iPhone.

The best that you can do is:

There is the Fitness app on the iPhone and the Apple Watch. You can even download a Pedometer app and install it on your iPhone and the Apple Watch. This setup will NOT transfer your history from the Tracfone app(s) or vice versa. If you use this setup then your Fitness app including Pedometer will start from the beginning. If you do not have cellular service to your iPhone in UK and Ireland, then your Apple Watch will still continue to record activity and transfer results to your iPhone over a Bluetooth connection. You can view all results in the Activity and Health apps on the iPhone.

Thank you. I also read something about ‘Travel Wi-Fi’- but haven’t looked into it. Read that most hotels, museums etc have free Wi-Fi in Great Britain. Wondered if I get the travel wifi( whatever it is) ifctgsg would allow me to bring my phone and just use the pedometer and fitness apps on it. Thereby not spending money on an Apple Watch( just the travel Wi-Fi thing if it’s not outrageously expensive).
