When will Apple enable roaming for the Apple Watch Family Setup?

The Watch Family Setup does not support roaming at all. I urge Apple to enable this feature for safety reasons. Especially for us living in Europe it's a deal breaker. The borders in many regions are literally just a street inside a big city. You go to visit your friend on foot, you cross the border, etc. Many people also work cross-border or go shopping cross-border. At the end, the EU is a single market.

Please Apple, enable roaming for the Family Setup watch, we cannot reach our kids when mostly needed and it defeats the purpose of the product!

Roaming and the support for Family Setup is a carrier feature, so they will have to support such an option.

You should also let your carrier know about your wishes.

Unfortunately according to the official documentation it seems to be the case that Apple restricts it. Check Set up cellular on Apple Watch - Apple Support (QA)
