Purchased TV episode is showing in iTunes app but missing from Apple TV app on multiple devices.

While in the Apple TV app on my Apple TV 4K or my iPhone, I am unable to watch Eli Stone S1 E3 and am instead directed to a streaming service to watch it(HULU or ABC apps).

I can play the episode from my iPhone when viewing the iTunes app and on the TV Shows app on the Apple TV when browsing my library.

It’s rather inconvenient from a bingeing perspective to have to switch apps so I bring the topic up here in hopes Apple can address the missing episode in the TV app.

Find your show in the Apple TV app’s Search tab. Click it to view the show’s Details page. Scroll down a bit to where you see the episodes. Select-and-hold the tile for your episode. From the pop-up contextual menu, select View Details. Scroll down a bit to where it says How to Watch. Select “tv” for the iTunes Store as content provider.


If you can’t make that selection, then please contact the iTunes Store staff for further assistance, or to submit a report for things to fix.


The Apple TV app also has a Library for your content from the iTunes Store. Can you select it there?
