PowerPoint Presentations converted to Keynote

PowerPoint presentations don't spontaneously convert to KeyNote. And PowerPoint does not just disappear.

Are you using an incompatible version of Microsoft Office? Did you just recently upgrade your MacOS? Did you try updating Microsoft Office? What is your configured default app for opening PowerPoint files?
