I have tried to follow the instructions given, but I don’t have a ‘behavior’ setting for my email account on my iPhone. I have set my email option to go to trash, but it is not happening. What do I do now?

For blocked senders to get sent to trash, there should be an option in settings to adjust what happens.
Go to Settings > Mail > Blocked Sender Options, and make sure this is set to Move to Trash.
This should get blocked senders moving to trash, but if this isn't working tell us exactly where this process breaks down. If you are missing some of these options, it could be due to the account you have added, you might want to check with your email provider for help.

I have set the blocked sender option to trash more times than I can remember. I have turned my iPhone off and on hoping that would resolve the problem. I have turn the block sender to trash option off for minutes or hours at a time.
when I read your reply, I had had that option off for days, so I tried setting the option back to send to trash and waited a day. I also emptied my trash bin.
For the first time I have had some success. There are 68 blocked items in my trash bin, 19 of which are from between 4:17 till 10:07 this morning. However 42 blocked items have come into in my inbox since 5:41 a.m. this morning.
it is now 10:09 a.m.
is there a limit to the number of blocked senders you can have? What else could possibly be an issue?
