Can't delete old iPhone backups MacBook Pro

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) running Big Sur; had to go cheap so I only have 250 GB storage, and when went to manage my storage I saw I have 3 old iPhone backups; I only backup my iPhone in the cloud now so I need that space--but nothing happens when I go to delete them.
