Search and Spotlight

The Search and Spotlight functions fail to find items that certainly

exist. The problem has been getting worse in the past months and now

it's unmanageable.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

You can rebuild the Spotlight index by following these instructions: Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac - Apple Support.

If searching your Mac returns unexpected results - Apple Support may also be relevant.
