battery MacBook m2

i have a macbook air m2 38 cycles, battery capacity 100% but despite this, when I work in xcode, it keeps charging for a maximum of 6 hours, and in the usual way, when I watch movies and others, it holds for 7 8 hours. I was told that a macbook with an m2 chip holds a charge for 16 17 hours, we don't have service centers, what should I do

FWIW, the build/compile/link/debug cycle for Xcode stresses the entire system and can consume energy in a hurry.


Also, display brightness will affect battery a lot. Lowering display brightness can easily extend battery use time by noticeable amounts. Also, watching movies in HDR as opposed to standard will cause the display brightness to dynamically change to deliver the full HDR range and therefore use more battery.
