how can I clean the touchpad on my MacBook Air?

my fingerprint isn't being recognized recently . Is there a way to clean the touch pad on my MacBook Air?

Fingerprint deleted on MacBook Air when software updates Every time my MacBook Air software updates, my fingerprint for Touch ID is deleted. This also seems to happen randomly every once in a while without an update. Is this a normal feature? if so, how do I disable it?(At least so I don't have to repeatedly re-enter my print after updates). Thanks!

Mac touch-id turned off, can't turn on Yesterday, touch-id stopped working on my M1 iMac with Ventura 13.0.1. I went to "System Settings", "Touch ID & Password" and tried to slide the switch on, but the slider was greyed out, I couldn't turn it on. It appears to still know about my fingerprint. How do I turn it back on the way it has been for a year and a half?
