WhatsApp on Carplay

Hello,

Recently, I'm unable to reply to WhatsApp messages on Apple Carplay. I can create a message and make calls and even reply to iMessages no problem. I've the latest iOS and WhatsApp versions and I've restarted my iPhone - could anyone help me with this issue?

CarPlay not reading WhatsApp messages Yesterday I noticed that CarPlay wasn’t reading out my WhatsApp messages. The notification pops up on screen, and when I tap it, WhatsApp opens and then it just says ‘would you like to reply?’ It’s like CarPlay thinks it’s read out the message but it hasn’t. I can’t see the name of the person the message is from, but everything else appears normal. And I can reply successfully. I can also send messages successfully. It’s just the reading out of incoming messages that doesn’t work. I’ve updated the WhatsApp app to the latest version - although I only did this after it stopped working. And I’m running the latest version of iOS. I’ve also checked the ‘announcement’ settings for WhatsApp and CarPlay and they look fine. Any help would be appreciated…

WhatsApp messages are not being read aloud on CarPlay with iPhone 13 Pro Since the last few days, my WhatsApps are not being read aloud on my CarPlay. I can send a WhatsApp and the message is read back to me before it sends, but any incoming messages doesn’t display the persons name and it won’t read the message. However I plugged in a friends phone (iPhone 14) and his worked (mine is a 13 pro) I’ve tried reinstalling WhatsApp on my phone, changing the cable, looking a settings, unpairing and repairing the phone to the car. Hi David, I have had the same issue on my Iphone 11 since updating to 16.3.1 Never encountered any issues in the previous versions. Haven't found a solution to this problem anywhere yet.
