I can't get texts from android users

One family member had same issue (rest of us iPhone users OK). iPhone SMS and MMS turned on; all steps for iPhone troubleshooting followed but still didn't work. Solution: Logged onto our Verizon account and navigated to devices/(select offending device)device details/blocked services/messages. This one line had "Block Pictures and Video Messaging" toggled to On. Turned it Off. Also verified "Block All Messaging" also Off. Now the iPhone can text pics to single Android users and send/receive group texts/pics when group includes Android user.

Report the issue to your phone carrier, SMS is their feature, only they can resolve it .

Text message isn't an Apple feature it is your phone carrier feature, they need to resolve the issue.

There is nothing for Apple to fix.

I can’t either. It started today. There are no solutions online. Apple doesn’t know why nor does my service provider. It’s limited to only ONE user who is my partner. I’m an older person and he thought that I had died when he couldn’t reach me. That was compounded by the fact he is autistic.

He had to install a free text app so we can stay in touch (so he can be assured I’m not dead).

This also fixed the linked iPad too.
