How do I resolve 'We could not authenticate you' error during Facebook login with two-factor identification? I use two-factor identification for logging on to Facebook. Recently after I receive the code from Facebook and enter it, I frequently get this message, even though almost no time has lapsed between the time I receive the code from Facebook and enter it. "We could not authenticate you. This might happen if too much time passed after you began authentication flow. You will be redirected to the start of the flow." Sometimes if I wait the required 3 minutes, then request a new code and enter it, I'm allowed to log in. Sometimes I get the same message again. Right now I'm in Facebook jail--I don't get their code at all. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

New iPhone 16 Pro - cannot log in to Facebook. I just thought I would put this out there in case someone else was having issues attempting to log into Facebook and getting an error "unable to log in". Thus, saving someone alot of frustration and disbelief. I tried everything from reinstalling App, restarting the device, changing password, etc and none of them worked. I still got the "unable to log in" errors. The next sentence below was the solution to fixing this and allowing me to log on. Make sure you disable your "Two-Factor Authentication" (text messages and authentication app), otherwise you will not be able to log onto the Facebook App on your new phone.

Facebook login problem I tried to login to my Facebook account but keep getting messages about forgotten password and can’t use a feature popping up every few seconds.

Sounds more of a facbook issue than Apples click here https://www.facebook.com/help
