Based on the reply just posted. I take it you never checked with Yubico?
iOS and iPadOS 16.4 are for iPhones and iPads. Ventura 13.3 is the current version of macOS.

A - Perhaps this is a Typo but only yesterday Monday March 27, 2023 did Apple Release macOS 13.3
A - If the User is referring to iOS 16.4 for iDevice like iPhone and iPad - the same caution would apply before making a purchase

While what you say is true (my error) but you don't actually answer the real question.
The answer is that no one here knows what plans Apple have (if any) to support any device, until they announce it.
Yubico's Security Key C NFC is cut-down version of the 5C and half the price, a necessary factor if these devices are to be used by ordinary users and not just business based users.
Will Apple support Yubico's Security Key C NFC?
