Whatsapp Crash after iOS 16.4 update

Finally WhatsApp worked!

Here is what I did

• Take full phone backup on iTunes
• erase all data on phone and factory reset to default settings
• restart / reboot the phone
• now your phone is as good as a new phone
• follow onscreen instructions and set up the phone
• restore the backup data from iTunes

your phone will come back to the same condition you left it at the time of backup.

the above solution worked for me.

Has anyone fixed this issue? I’ve contacted them they weren’t really helpful.. I tried deleting and reinstalling it just reinstalling with the same issue nothing really helps .. bought more storage nothing!

I tried contacting Apple support they referred me to Whatsapp support.

I opened a report on whatsapp and they told me to update the app.

Only their version is stuck at two weeks ago. (Update 5.23.78)

It's amazing having to wait so long for a bug to be updated!

I am also facing same issue. I received messages from others. Only possible to see in notification centre. And also possible to send data through gallery. Can’t open direct to WhatsApp. Any solutions this. Please tell me. I can’t delete my whatsapp. So many datas In my whatsapp. Any other options to solve this….

My issues is solved. I installed whatsapp bussiness in the same phone. And login in same number in WhatsApp business. All data automatically transferred with in a second to whatsapp business. Now working perfectly

before i am using normal WhatsApp. That’s time the bug issues happen.

then I will installed the business whatsapp. And login that Whatsapp in the same number. With in second data is transferred and the issues is solved

I had the same issue using latest ios 16.4 & latest whatsapp version 23.5.78

suddenly whatsapp started to crash and i can only use whatsapp web on my laptop that I was luckily logged into

I tried to contact whatsapp support 2 times one of them when I received a screen from whastapp saying u r having trouble opening whatsapp and to send a report and it sent a bug report to whatsapp but their replies were useless

the normal call center type of scripts, update latest ios , update latest whatsapp version, blah blah blah

Eventually and before i gave up, i found a software that allows you to back up ur whatsapp chats and restore it between android / Ios devices or just back it up and view it from your computer

I don’t know if i am allowed to put the link or the software name on these forums but it worked for me, I backed up my whatsapp to my computer and managed to view them

deleter whatsapp and reinstalled it again and found i already had an icloud back from a week ago so restorer it and voila it works

Please install whatsapp business and login. Then automatically Transfer all data to WhatsApp Business. After fully transferred that data’s. You can delete normal WhatsApp. And install. Then back to login. This is what I am done. My problem is solved.

I have same issues for 4 days. This is the only step without loosing data

I am sure. I have also important data in my Whatsapp. Since 2016. I didn’t backup in last one year.

this method is successfully done to me.

if you login WhatsApp business without uninstall normal WhatsApp. The data didn’t loose in your phone.

note:- Don’t delete your normal WhatsApp. Install business whatsapp and login the same the number. And Agree to transfer the document. That’s enough

no issues. After successfully login and transfer your data to your WhatsApp business account. Then verify your all data to transfer to your business account then if you possible to backup to iCloud then you can delete normal WhatsApp. Then install and Login to your number. The data’s automatically share your normal WhatsApp.

and business whatsapp no issues for common purpose.

I have the Same problem since yesterday morning, I cannot even open the app, I don’t receive messages, nothing. Anybody has Any idea about When this will be fixed?

It's a WhatsApp problem, contact them for an ETA on the fix.
