phone randomly cuts out during a call

During a call, I hear an internal click on my phone, like an electronic type of sound/click and my call cuts out as if the call has dropped, completely silent. Then after about 5 seconds, comes back as if nothing happened. It is not the same as when you are in a poor service coverage area. It sounds like a switch being turned off and on.

I have restarted several times to no avail. Hoping for another option before factory reset.

Hey Audi,

If you haven't already, try updating your iPhone 11 to iOS 16.4, then check for any carrier updates. This will ensure that you have the latest from your carrier:

  1. Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
  2. Manually update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If that doesn't help, let us know if the behavior occurs in a specific area, for example, at work, in your car, on public transit, etc.

Does it occur if you're using Bluetooth headphones or if the call is on speaker?

We look forward to hearing back from you. Cheers!
