Ventura 13.3 broke my screensaver--

I am seeing the same problem in two different M1 MacBook Pros (one a work machine) since 13.3. Whenever they are connected to an external monitor, it was refusing to show photos on that monitor. This happens with any of the photo-display screensavers that I tried (flip-up, Ken Burns. Photo Mobile, Photo Wall etc).
By experimenting a bit, I discovered that whichever monitor is the designated the “Main Display” will refuse to show photos, and show the “no photos“ message. The clock, however, appears just fine on that monitor, when that option is enabled. The “Extended Display” shows photos just fine, even when switched to the other monitor.
I was able to work around the problem by changing the refresh rate of the MacBook ”Built-in Display” to anything other than”ProMotion.”
System Settings > Displays > Built-in Display > Refresh rate > [select something other than ProMotion]
I'm using the Apple screen saver, which is only displaying on the external monitor and not on the iMac display. The Apple screen saver is broken for me.
Yes I have the same problem. It is annoying since I have my large 4k display as the main display and all it says is "No Picture." I hope they fix it soon. Is there a way to file a bug on this?
@mikebrown, did you get an update on your bug report?
Me too.
I installed the update for the macOS that appeared today (Ventura 13.3.1). It did NOT fix the screen saver issue.
I reported the issue at the macOS feedback page: Feedback - macOS - Apple
Was excited to see update today hoping it would fix the screensaver when using personal pictures but sadly it did not, still broken.
I confirm that as well: Mac OS Ventura 13.3.1 does nought to solve the screensaver issue: Running Fliqlo in its current state is rather pointless. If only we could downgrade back to 13.2.
Well, no joy for me either on the update. Guess we will have to wait a bit longer...
Is that "Photos" the macOS app? I am selecting photos/images, but they are in a separate directory. I don't want to use my Photos app as there are thousands of photos in that app.
You can always select specific albums for the screen saver.
I just tried selecting an album in the Photos macOS app and the screen saver did not work on any of my monitors.
I want random photos, like my screensaver. Apple P{photos cannot even do that. I mean, "Select all "Shuffle" Start Slideshow"... how hard can it be?
Still broken after the 13.3.1 update yesterday........
Do you have a link or reference to the bug report (bug number)?
News: it's actually not consistent, just mostly says no photos on monitor2. Sometimes it displays them on both though!
