Help stacked bar chart

I do not use charts very often and forget how to do them year to year. Here I have bins of items: a, b, c, and d. The numbers change by year. I am trying to create a stacked bar chart with a, b, c, and d stacked on top of each other and the year as the Y axis. I have tried transposing and it did not help. Please help. I need a step-by-step process of what to select.

When you create a chart, Numbers assumes whichever you have more of (rows or columns) in your selection of data for the chart is the way the data is arranged. For example, if you have more rows than columns it assumes each column is a series. Similarly, if you have more columns than rows it assumes each row is a series. That is sometimes not correct.

Click on the chart. At the bottom left corner of the screen is "plot rows as series". Switch it to "plot columns as series".
