Bootable usb for use on an older MAC
I need to update an old mac from 10.5 to 10.9. Reason? I have a VDP software that will run on that OS, but not the current OS. Upgrade the VDP software you say? The upgrade is now a subscription and will run about $1500 a year. So I would really like to find that sweet spot where the ancient MAC, OS, VDP and Acrobat work together. I had this working beautifully on My current mac, but then a large software company remoted in "To solve a problem" and deleted a whole bunch of stuff they never should have touched. Its been a nightmare ever since. I really don't want to roll back my OS on the current machine, but I will If I have to.
The old mac is just sitting there waiting to be recycled, so I thought thought id try and make this work.
I need minimum OS 10.9 to run the VDP and the Older version of Acrobat I have acquired, But I can't seem to find a way to update the OS.
Ancient Mac is an iMac7.1 Intel Core 2 You Processor Running OS 10.5.8
Any help would be appreciated
iMac 27″, macOS 11.7
