TP-Link UE306 macOS Monterey driver troubleshooting

Small introduction to problem

I bought Ethernet-USB TP-Link UE306 adapter recently to connect my old MacBook to wifi-router and use as local server, but faced problems with old and strange TP-Link drivers for this device. Official manual didn't helped me, but i figured out myself and wanna help other users with guide which i'd wanna found when i was faced it and save a lot of personal time for resolving this.

Warning: This guide turns off some system security features, decide for yourself how do you need them, any possible consequences on your conscience

To successfully install and use this driver you need to do two things:

  • Allow install apps from "Anywhere" in "Security & Privacy" (via Terminal, google it)
sudo spctl --master-disable

  • Disable System Integrity Protection

Disabling and Enabling System Integrity Protection | Apple Developer Documentation

After doing all these re-install driver, allow it in "Security & Privacy" and reboot your Mac to finally see this:

It was kinda whole investigation for me, but i hope it will help someone in the future, cause i didn't found any of these in the web when i already was ready to refund this adapter. How i understood the main cause in unloaded unsecure software from manufactor. TP-Link, check this out and update drivers for devices that you still sales, it sucks, you shoudn't turn off security features just to use some hardware 😡
