Rectangle on iPad Air screen
Grey, or white rectangle across my iPad Air 3rd generation screen. Tried disabling assistive touch (which was not on anyway) but it is still there. What to do?

Hi cecilyfromnew york,
Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! Do you have Switch Control enabled? You can check by going to Settings > Accessibility > Switch Control. If so, item scanning is the default when you turn on Switch Control which highlights items similar to how you're describing as listed below:
Use Switch Control to navigate your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Hope this helps!
Have a great day.

Hey cecilyfromnew york,
Instead of making a trip, you could contact Apple Support. They have the tools required to see what you’re seeing. You can reach them using this link: Get Support
All the best.
Thank you, Lissy. Unfortunately this hasn't helped, or I need more specific guides to do this. It's a rectangle that appeared no matter what app I used. It's grey, or transparent, depending what I'm doing.
Might mean a trip to Apple.
Thanks again for answering!
