Alarm would play on speakers even when airpods is on

Help! I tried everything but my alarm still goes off to my speakers even if i’m wearing my airpods! I need it to play on my airpods bec baby wakes up when it plays on my iphone 14 pro max speakers!

this happened after the update to 16.4 and the update before that! Did not have a problem before.

please help!!!
