Why can I not get two pages files in split view

Pages will split view with other apps just can't split view two pages documents.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.4

Yeah it wasn't working. Have updated Mac and it's working fine now

Open two Pages documents, click to tile one file to left or right. Then click on the other document and it should automatically be tiled on the other side.
