Eliminate Redundancy in Photos

Hey Apple, how about killing the redundancy in Photos. I’d like to ‘move’ photos to an album, not copy them. Also, your updates to Photos just make me cringe and they’re not helpful. For starters, get rid of ‘Places’ since it’s not accurate and I don’t need for you to tell me where I’ve been. After all, I was there. Say what you want about Blackberry but it was by far the most useful when it came to organization. I swear if it ever comes back, you’ll be short a customer.

Sorry, but we are all users here, just like you, Apple can't be reached by posting here.

Using the Feedback link is the only way to do that:

Not sure if this is what you were referring to, but you can get rid of duplicate photos by going to the Photos app’s new “duplicates” tab; you should see a list of duplicates and a “merge” option. All this does is combine them into one photo, basically throwing out one of the duplicates. Keep in mind that this will not work for similar looking photos (e.g. those times that we all accidentally press the shutter button a bunch of times while meaning to press it once!), only photos that are actually identical due to being copied or manually duplicated.

Hope this helps.
