I’m facing the same issue with iPhone 15 pro since an update 10 days ago. I have tried everything, all solutions on this thread, nothing is working. Have reached out to WhatsApp and sent logs too just keep getting automated responses back. Please HELP. Don’t want to lose backup

WhatsApp works on and off. One fix works and then stops working. There seems to be an issue many times when there is an update to whatsapp or to IOS. The only way I can use Whatsapp on my phone is to turn off the internet, read and write all responses and then turn the internet back on and the responses for out and new messages come in. Just crazy. It doesn't matter is I have Wifi or Mobile Data on, one or both , it just wont work and freezes after about 20 seconds or less. So this is my work around until one of these providers decides to make sure the two can work together. It seems to me that Whatsapp (Facebook) and Apple are not really interested in making sure their products work together. This has been going on for months!

I have been facing the same issue on my 13 pro max. I believe our iCloud data is corrupted. I tried to restore chats on my another phone and it did worked for a while but as soon as all the chats came back from the backup it started crashing. I believe to make your what’s app work there is only 1 way that is clearing all the chats. Maybe the chats data is corrupted. I am using WA Business on 13 Pro Max and I started facing this issue since 2 weeks now.

I solved the problem without losing data or conversations on iPhone 11 Pro Max. Here is what I did.

First, I installed WhatsApp Business and registered the same number I used with WhatsApp Messenger. After confirming my email address, I opened WhatsApp Messenger. I receive an alert saying I will lose my WhatsApp Business configuration. After clicking Yes, my WhatsApp started working without losing data or conversation!

For those who still facing this error, try to check your background app refresh.

Setting->General->Background App Refresh.

If all that list is off due to reserve battery, you can turn it on to fix this issue.

Click the background app refresh on the top, select wifi & cellular Data.

You can manually select apps off, but turn on for your whatsApp app.

I've bean searching and updating my app but it still continue after some period of time. But Its been 1 month and I think this fix the issue.
