I have a Kingston 32GB USB Disk and AData 500GB SSD.
I am trying to encrypt them but cannot find any option in Finder or Disk Utility.
I also wanted to erase it, but no Encryption option was found.
Have anyone faced the same problem?
You must select Show All Devices from the View Popup menu, select the device, and erase it using GUID Partition Map. You may have to erase it with GUID, then erase again to get the options to encrypt. An encrypted drive will always be APFS
