Yes, I have also had that experience years ago. This is a different matter.
It started with my phone asking for a PUK code, (likely from to many failed attempts at sim PIN code). I have an iPhone 11, an Apple Watch 7 ( also effected, not working either (despite it having its own ATT phone number assigned & the monthly charge I pay for adding the watch to my plan (I have 5 lines on my ATT account & now a watch). I also have all lines insured with the required (because you can’t opt out) of the “device pro service help care” or whatever they now renamed it..which does ZERO to benefit for the $10. Per line REQUIRED to carry on each per month.
I called my carrier, ATT (for over 15 years) they were NOT able to correct with any type of code. Although, this has worked in the past for me.
the “help” lady advised me to go into my local store.
because, I own a small cleaning co. I did just that immediately.
I am now sitting across from my local ATT store representative & being told that the newly inserted SIM card will not work. “For unknown reasons”.
No, suggestions following this from said rep. Several more fruitless attempts.
The End- I leave with a new SIM card that doesn’t work installed in my iPhone 11,
my phone is “temporarily working with an electronic Sim”, somehow.
as proven with him calling the store’s number & it ringing from my phone.
Several weeks have passed & here we go again! My phone goes into boot mode (not requested), and displays an Apple only on the screen for 24 hours, then magically turns on (out of nowhere)..
Anyone else having this issue? Suggestions? Guesses? Explanations? Thought’s?
I would love to know if anyone has any clues what is happening here?
what would you do?
