Markup Ruler

I update to iPadOS 16.4 yesterday and now my ruler in markups doesn’t work as a straight edge. You can draw right through it. Any tips?

Markup Tool after updating to ios 18 is messed up. Markup options in IOS 18 to add a rectangular frame to a portion of a photo seem to be messed up. I can select a square to add but it has a fill and whenever I try to change the colour of the fill or boundary, as soon as I select the colour, the whole tools bar disappears. Same is happening when I try to change the colour of any new text added to the picture. I can increase or decrease the size but on changing colours, the problem occurs.. How to fix this?

Perfect shapes doesn’t work in Books app on iPad After updating to 17.4 on my ipad pro 3rd generation I can no long do perfect shapes in the Books app. Can someone help?

Having tried this myself with iPadOS 16.4, in starting to draw the line along the straight edge of the Ruler tool, I can achieve a perfectly straight line as expected.

By contrast, if starting to draw the line anywhere other than the edge of the Ruler, I see a freehand line.
