Remove code for Airplay on iphone

I’m trying to play my podcasts on my Sonos device. When I try to connect on Airplay via my IPhone, I’m asked for a code. I have no idea how to remove that.

If you are being prompted for a code when trying to use AirPlay to stream podcasts from your iPhone to your Sonos device, it may be because AirPlay is currently set up with a password or code. Here's how you can disable the AirPlay code on your iPhone:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on "General", then tap on "AirPlay & Handoff".
  3. Toggle off the "Require Code" option.
  4. If prompted, enter the AirPlay code you previously set up to verify your identity.
  5. Once you have successfully disabled the AirPlay code, try connecting to your Sonos device again.

If you are still encountering issues, you may want to check that both your iPhone and Sonos device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You could also try resetting your Sonos device or updating its firmware, as this may help to resolve any connectivity issues.

Sonos details:

Sonos seems to use an app for configuration and support, according to the following:

There seem to be older and newer apps now, based on a quick look at the App Store.

Here’s one:

If you update the Sonos firmware to current, have the Sonos app installed and working, and you still get prompted for an AirPlay password, check with Sonos support.

As for the previous reply, the current iOS and iPadOS no longer have that particular “require passcode” setting.
