Iphone stolen then phished

Hi

My iphone was stolen today - I accessed Find My and set it to erase, which it was. A few hours later my husband received a text that my phone had been found and to log in with my Apple ID to see the details - I now realised this was a massive phishing scam. As soon as I realised I logged in and changed my password, but that was perhaps 10 minutes later. Could they have restored my phone in this way? I am really concerned them having access to photos of my children, my calendar etc. The phone is no longer available in Find My so I can't try and erase it again - could Apple do that for me?

Thanks for any advice,

iPhone 13

Phishing your Apple ID and password wouldn't give them access to the data on your phone. They would need the iPhone Lock Screen passcode to access that.

It would give them access to synced data or backups to iCloud.com but you changed the password quickly and they likely weren't interested in that data anyway as it is being able to resell the phone that has value to them.

Apple makes it possible for users to use Find My but won't access devices for you (and wouldn't know what Apple ID is currently in use even if they would.
