Connect AirPod Pros to iPhone, but not Mac

My new AirPods Pros automatically connect to my Mac via Bluetooth upon connecting them to my iPhone. When I forget them as a device on my Mac, they are disconnected from my iPhone.

I don't want my AirPods connecting to my Mac. How do I accomplish this?

Thanks.

Hi jcorroon,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! This feature is called automatic switching and it can be disabled by following the steps below:

Switch your AirPods to another device

Turn off automatic switching
If you don't want your AirPods to switch automatically, you can turn off automatic switching on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV.

On your Mac
1. With your AirPods in your ears and connected to your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Bluetooth.
2. Click the Options button next to your AirPods in the list of devices.
3. From the Connect to This Mac menu, choose When Last Connected to This Mac.
4. To turn this feature on again, choose Automatically.

Hope this helps!

Have a great day.
