sometimes even when both devices have bluetooth on and they are super close, airdrop takes forever and sometimes doesn't even work. Would love some trouble shooting help..

We are other end uses who can neither see nor touch your Apple devices. Without details from you, this is hard to effectively answer in this text-based setting.

What Apple devices? What operating system versions are they running?

Hi, thanks for your response. IOS 15.7 iPhone SE second gen to Imac OS Monterey. It is interesting to me to troubleshoot the WIFI connection because I've been in really remote places with no service and had Airdrop work on Bluetooth alone. Mystifying, lol. But if the wifi is indeed the culprit it makes sense because my phone doesn't hold my wifi signal as steady as my computer does.
