all4 won't work on iPad, using Safari

Hey there

I am travelling in the UK for an extended period and want to watch stuff on my iPad. As I am from Australia, my apple id prevents download of the All4 app but I can watch it via the web browser (Safari). This works fine on my Mac but when I try on my iPad the programme just gets stuck at the beginning of the first ad (ie won't load the ad at all...) Have tried looking at any differences between settings in both devices but can't work it out. Not using any ad blockers or anything and block cookies is turned off. Welcome any ideas...

No I don't think so. As I said, I am in the UK and it works fine on my Mac, as do other UK streamers on both devices. If I resume watching a program on iPad that was started on my Mac, it plays without a problem. Just when it hits ad breaks. Also loads without any error message, just doesn't play ads. In any case, after I installed latest update for iPad, it fixed the problem. Not sure how or what the cause was. thanks for your reply though...

I misunderstood. As stated you are already travelling within the UK - as opposed to travelling to the UK. As such, you should be able to access UK geo-locked content, but be mindful of VPN and other proxy-gateway services that may cause issues.
