I saw this thread and was sad that there wasn't an answer...

but I FOUND an answer and thought I would share...


I followed these instructions and checked the 780p option and my vids are now full screen.

I hope this helps SOMEONE else's frustration as I searched for 2 days looking for this answer.!

It looks like you want your video, when in fullscreen, to er... fill the screen.


What is your mac model? What your screen resolution? What exactly did you choose? (780 is but one dimension, which is the other one?)


I am glad that you found a solution that pleases you, but I have to warn you: different devices have different aspect ratios, that is inevitable. Your phone has a different aspect ratio from your mac laptop, and this has a different aspect ration from many external displays.

So even though your video fills the screen in your mac, it does not fill it will fill the screen in other devices. That is inescapable.
