Desktop not showing icons // Right click not working

Hello,

Suddenly my desktop is not showing any icon, and nothing happens when I right-click. The files and folders are there, I can see them on Finder, but when I go to my desktop, everything is missing. Also on Finder when I go to the top bar menu and go to File - New folder and many other options are greyed-out.

Does anyone have this issue or know how to solve it? It literally happened from one to the other without any reason. I didn't install anything.

Thanks!

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 13.3

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, it's still not working. I am so lost :-/ I've attached a screenshot showing all the options active. As you see, I can't even create a folder directly from the Desktop, but if I go to Finder, all my folders, files and so on, are there.
