Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 12.9 5th Gen number keys one through nine not working
I've seen a few others with this problem but none of the suggested fixes has worked. Just to shorten the back and forth.
- The keyboard is the Apple Magic (folio) keyboard for the iPad Pro 12.9
- It is compatible with my 5th gen model
- iOS is current
- Contacts have been cleaned
I have tried the following suggested fixes
- Full restart (vol up then vol dwn then hold top button until Apple logo appears)
- Under Accessibility... Keyboards... Full Keyboard Access (it was off. So, I toggled it on. No change. Went to Commands and pushed "Restore Defaults." No change. Turn disabled Full Keyboard Access and returned settings main window.
- I have reset the Keyboard Dictionary
- I've brought up the screen keyboard to see if toggle the numeric/symbols would have any effect. No change.
- I have looked at KEYBOARD under General. 2 - English (US) and Emoji.
- Under General..Keyboard... Hardware Keyboard... it shows it as English (US). Under modifier keys it showed default but I went ahead and did "Restore Defaults"
All nine top row keys have no response including when clicked along with any of the modifier keys. Neither the number nor the [SHIFT]+# symbol appear.
The Keyboard shows it's Firmware Version as 0241.0526.0200 and the Hardware Version is 0009.
