How to finish sign-in WITHOUT iphone tv os 16.

for a few months now my AppleTV says to finish signing in with my iphone.

I can’t finish signing in with an iPhone as it’s not on my personal account.

There is no option to complete the sign in process in Any other way.

i have tried updating, signing out and signing back in again.

At this point it seems the best action maybe to return my Apple TV as faulty not fit for purpose as apple seems to not be interested in fixing it. I say this,I believe there are now a couple of news articles reporting the issue.

if anyone has managed to fix this widely reported bug or bypass with out buying a new iPhone please say!
