Photos Library Copy.photoslibrary

Hi Everyone..

I am new to MacBook and I was clicking few other things and accidentally emptied trash for several things..

I noticed there is this new folder of "Photos Library Copy". If I delete that it gives me an error and it says I can't open photos.. I don't want that folder and want it to be like before where it only showed the photos app.

Anybody can help me..? Thanks!!

That is the icon for a Photos Library Package. Where is this "Photos Library Copy.photoslibrary" located?" Is it in the Applications folder with the Photos app? That would be odd.

Are you using iCloud to sync your Photos libraries?

You say you have a new MacBook, but you list your system as macOS 12.5 Monterey. Is that right? The newest OS is 13.2 Ventura

In your Pictures folder, do you have Photos Library.photoslibrary? That's where the pictures are usually stored. And if it's there, double click on it to open that library in Photos. If it's not there, try double clicking on the "Copy," which you could move to the Pictures folder.

Option-click on the Photos icon to get a list of Libraries that Photos knows about. Maybe there's one there you haven't tried? If you can't get a Library to open, try making a new one to see what happens.
