My iPad turns off by its self maybe after using it for 2 hrs.then I have to restart it, is there something wrong with it or maybe a setting, just need to touch for ID to start.

If we understand correctly, your iPad seems to be turning off. To clarify, are you saying you tap the Home button and it seems to come back on immediately, or are you pressing the Power button? If it's immediately coming back to your Home screen after you use Touch ID, it sounds like it may not be powering off and there might be something else happening.
Which iPad model are you using, and which iPadOS version are you using under Settings > General > About? If it's not iPadOS 16.4, backing up and updating is a good start for troubleshooting to rule out some causes: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
If that doesn't help, please let us know more about what's happening. Does it occur when you use a specific app?
