iPhone Model Number

I have tried to buy a case for my partners iPhone on Amazon. I quoted as much information as I could find out. The wrong size arrived. I tried again only to find there are TWO model numbers. WHY?

I use model A1273 and the wrong one arrived again. I search only to find the companies don’t use model numbers to identify phone. Year made is quote … I have no idea etc. Old age pensioner feeling very hard done by and very very confused.

Normally you just use the name of the iPhone, For example "iPhone 6s Plus", or iPhone 12 Mini.

There's no need to specify the model number or anything like that. If you look on an amazon for a case for the specific iPhone they have, you should get the correct case.

What iPhone is it exactly?
