Issue with Apple ID and Contacts

My father and I share the same name, with the exception of Jr. and Sr.

I've had the problem for a while and I've been ignoring it, but it's finally bugging me enough to reach out....I can't have my own photo in my apps. Somehow, the my iphone has gotten me confused with my father. When I go into settings to change my photo, it also changes his photo in his contact. I've made sure all the phone numbers are different, no email addresses are shared, etc. I've even turned off family sharing, on the off chance that might be causing it. Does anyone know why the contact and my account may be linked?
