Relocated Items .

Hi Can you help please , after an update on my MacBook pro yesterday some stuff was relocated , I got message saying something about reconfiguration , Im not very tech unfortunatley , anyway some , I think unimportant files were moved to a folder by Apple , but my problem is my audio interface I use with Gargageband stopped working after the update , it said " Devise can not be found " so I uploaded it again which worked for that moment but every time I stop using it and switch the computer the problem begins again " Devise can not be found " so I have to keep downloading , in other words the Mac is not saving download . Thanks Francis .

Hey backpac,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We hope the information below will help.

During an upgrade, files and data are reviewed to confirm they are authorized, undamaged, and in the correct location. "If any of your files couldn’t be moved to their new locations, they’re placed in a Relocated Items folder."

There's a PDF file in the folder that tells you what to do with the files. Fore more information, review this article: If a Relocated Items folder appears on your Mac after upgrading macOS.

In regards to the audio interface in GarageBand, this article may help: If GarageBand isn't working on your Mac. There are great troubleshooting steps in the article that may resolve your issue.

Hope this helps. Take care.

Hi , thanks for the reply , GarageBand is working but I use the audio interface with GarageBand and since the update its the audio interface thats not working , I have to reinstall it every time I want to use it , once Ive reinstalled the audio interface I can use the audio interface until I switch off the Mac , when I switch the Mac back on the audio interface has been removed and I have to repeat the process over again , so on so forth . In a nut shell since the update the Mac is not retaining the audio interface . Ive had the audio interface 5 years and this has never happened before . Thanks .
