Vscode using significant energy

Visual Studio code is using significant energy even when it's closed. I am pretty sure that I installed the apple silicon version of vscode. I am using a M2 chip MacBook pro.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.3

Hi Fanta07,

To clarify, when you say significant energy, are you referring to battery power, CPU resources, or something else?

Also, what indication are you seeing specifically that suggests the app is using energy when closed? Knowing these details will help us work out some steps you can try.

Depending on where you've checked, you may want to look into Activity Monitor, which you can use to research this type of behavior: Activity Monitor User Guide for Mac - Apple Support

Let us know what you find in Activity Monitor, as well as your exact macOS version from Apple menu () > About This Mac. While this could be an issue that will require the assistance of the software developer, knowing more about what you're seeing will help get to the bottom of this and work out if there are other steps available.

Take care.
